Museum Pass ROI calculator

The Paris Museum Pass is €55 / 2 days, €80 / 4 days, €100 / 6 days. Beyond a certain number of visits, it's a saving. Below that, it's a loss. List the museums you'll go to — the tool computes your breakeven and tells you what to do.

What this tool actually solves

The Paris Museum Pass is sold as "unlimited visits to 50+ sites". The "unlimited" is fine but the marginal cost of each visit matters: above ~€70–€90 of total admission value (depending on pass duration) you start saving; below, you lose. The skip-the-line benefit is harder to quantify but adds 30–60 min at peak times.

How to read the result

Three numbers: single-ticket cost (what you would pay on the day), pass cost, net (saving or loss). Below the verdict, we list which museums give you the highest value-per-visit, so you know which to prioritise.

Limitations

2025–2026 pass fees and museum entry fees. The Louvre timed-entry surcharge is not included in our model (it's €2 extra per slot at peak). The first-Sunday free list is updated annually by the Ministry of Culture — verify before planning.

FAQ

Is the Louvre worth a separate ticket?
Always book the timed-entry separately, regardless of whether you have a Museum Pass. The free pass line still queues, and slots sell out 2–3 days in advance at peak times. Use the Louvre's official website, not a reseller.
Can I use the Paris Museum Pass outside Paris?
Yes — the pass covers entry to sites in Versailles (Trianon, the temporary exhibitions), Fontainebleau, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, and several Champagne/Loire chateaux. Check the official pass list for the year of your visit.
